About me
Some people find their way to counselling through a moment of crisis. Others arrive after years of quietly wondering why certain patterns keep repeating, or why something feels off even when life looks fine from the outside.
Wherever you're coming from, I'm not here to hand you a framework or tell you what your experience means. I'm here to sit alongside you while you figure that out for yourself. That process, done honestly, makes a difference.
My path to this work wasn't straightforward. For years, I pushed my limits through outdoor adventure, looking outward for answers that turned out to be inward ones. That shift from outer exploration to inner honesty is something I understand from the inside. It shapes everything about how I work.
I've supported people through some of life's greatest challenges. I work with families navigating children's end-of-life care and have worked with young people in crisis through adventure-based programmes in the outdoors. I know what it means to sit with someone in real difficulty and not look away.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of approaches, which simply means I work with what's actually in front of me rather than fitting you into a single method. We go at your pace. The work is shaped around you.
If something here resonates, the simplest next step is a free 20-minute introductory call online. No commitment, no pressure. Just a conversation to see if working together feels right.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of the BACP and hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling, completed at Warrington and Vale Royal College. My foundational training was at North Lakes Counselling and Training, where I completed CPCAB Level 2 in Counselling Skills and Level 3 in Counselling Studies.
I am committed to ongoing development and engage regularly in CPD. My particular interests are in consciousness, neuroscience, nature informed approaches and the psychology of experience and transition.
My experience spans a range of organisations in supportive roles. I currently work with families navigating children's end-of-life care, and have previously worked with young people through an adventure-based crisis intervention programme. I have also supported a carers service, a Hospice at Home service and a mental health support charity.
I work privately through RoamEden, a practice I founded exploring personal growth through experience, reflection and connection with the natural world.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
