About me

Hi, I'm Benedicta, I am a BACP Registered and Online Certificated Counsellor.

If you looking for a therapist who is warm and passionate about supporting you to feel more positive about your life, I am here to help you. I am an experienced counsellor and fully trained online therapist. 

I offer a compassionate approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic theories to help you move forward. I also have experience working with addiction, loss, bereavement, suicidal ideology, relationship problems and anxiety to name a few.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am also certificated to work online (ACTO).

A graduate with honours in Psychology and Counselling in 1995, I subsequently obtained a Masters in Counselling (MCoun) and have recently supplemented my training with a General Certificate in Online Counselling.

In addition to my private practice and as well as counselling residents in retirement homes, I have worked for a well-known suicide prevention organisation and also for Cruse Bereavement.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

£65.00 per session

Additional information

Sessions are charged at £65 for 50 minutes (£80 for couples) on Zoom.

I can also work via WhatsApp, telephone or email.  I will be available for as many, or as few sessions as you would like. I recommend that you commit to at least six sessions initially, but this is of course your choice.

I endeavour to reply as a matter of urgency, and I keep all information strictly confidential in compliance with the BACP Privacy Code. Please kindly confirm that you are over 18 on your first contact. It is customary to pay me before the start of a session, and I will provide my bank account details via WhatsApp.
