About me

Finding someone you feel comfortable talking to can be an important first step towards making sense of what you're experiencing.

I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can talk openly about whatever is troubling you, without fear of judgement or pressure to have all the answers.

You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, questions about your identity, or simply feeling that something in your life isn't quite right. Sometimes it's difficult to put into words exactly what's troubling us, and that's OK too.

My approach is thoughtful and exploratory. Rather than offering quick solutions or telling you what to do, I aim to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your feelings and the patterns that may be influencing your life.

I believe the relationship between counsellor and client is central to meaningful therapeutic work. It's important to me that you feel heard, respected and able to explore things at your own pace.

I currently offer online counselling to adults across the UK.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I completed five years of counselling training with The Counselling Foundation, including an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling.

My psychodynamic training informs my understanding of how earlier experiences, relationships and unconscious processes can influence the way we feel about ourselves and relate to others.

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, undertake regular clinical supervision and maintain my professional development through ongoing training and study.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I'm a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I trained for five years with The Counselling Foundation, completing an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. During this time, I gained extensive experience working with adults, helping them explore a wide range of emotional difficulties and personal challenges.

My training has given me a particular interest in how our past experiences and relationships can shape the way we think, feel and relate to others, often without us being fully aware of it.

I continue to develop my skills through regular supervision, further training and professional development.
