About me

I am a Psychotherapist working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. This may include anxiety, low mood, stress, self-esteem difficulties, relationship challenges, and the impact of past or current life experiences. My aim is to offer a structured, supportive space where clients can develop understanding, build coping strategies, and make meaningful change at a manageable pace.

My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which I use across age groups. CBT is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps people understand the links between thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours, and develop practical strategies for change. I am accredited by the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapists (BABCP, registration number 10111996).

I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for children and adults. Alongside this, I draw on additional training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing (MI), attachment-based approaches, and trauma-informed/focused care, integrating these flexibly depending on individual needs.

Alongside my psychotherapy training, I am also a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England (registration number SW123273). I have over 13 years’ experience working across NHS, local authority, and private mental health services, including community mental health, children’s services, and crisis and early intervention teams. This experience supports a grounded, practical, and collaborative approach to therapy.

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s also completely normal to feel ambivalent or unsure about starting. You don’t need to feel fully ready in order to reach out, and part of my role can be to help you explore whether therapy feels like the right fit for you at this time.

I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation, which provides an opportunity to talk through what you’re looking for, ask any questions, and get a sense of how we might work together before deciding whether to proceed.

If you feel ready to begin, or simply want to explore whether therapy might be helpful, you are welcome to get in touch.
