About me
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Accredited EMDR Practitioner working in Private Practice, based in Worcester City Centre. My practice is based on Sansome Walk which runs parallel to Foregate Street and is two minutes walk from Foregate Street Station.
I currently provide individual sessions, couples sessions and specialist EMDR sessions for clients as well as clinical supervision for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have an MA and a post graduate diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from Birmingham University and I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am a fully accredited EMDR Practitioner with EMDR Europe, UK and Ireland. I am also an approved Attachment Focused EMDR Practitioner with the Parnell Institute.
I am a level 7 trained (MA Equivalent) Clinical Supervisor and a member of the British Association of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervisors (Organisational member of UKCP).
I provide individual sessions, couples sessions and specialist EMDR sessions for clients as well as Clinical Supervision for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I have very varied professional experience. Before retraining I worked as a community worker and social worker in Liverpool city centre which gave me solid grounding in many different areas.
I began my therapeutic career as a therapist for NHS long term adult psychology services and then as a therapist for the NHS sexual health and psychosexual service in Worcester. Following these grounding experiences I began to develop my private practice in Worcester.
Originally my private practice was made up of different strands including working as an associate of Worcester therapy Group for 5 years, as a member of the West Mercia Police Affiliate Network for 7 years, as a therapist for the NHS Sexual Health and Psychosexual Team for 7 years and as a therapist for BUPA as well as varying EAPS.
As the practice developed I moved to self referral and the practice now focuses on providing individual, couples and Specialist EMDR sessions to clients and Supervision to Psychotherapists and Counsellors.

Further information
I work in an integrative way, using different methods according to the different issues presented by individual clients. Clients individual needs and presenting issues are assessed during the initial assessment session, allowing the therapeutic approach to be tailored to address the work that needs to be done and the changes that clients want to make.
