About me
My name is Beenish and I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, accredited by the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
*I currently have space to work with a couple.*
*I also have some space for individual therapy.*
If you are unhappy in your relationship or feeling stuck, then accessing couple therapy is a step in the right direction. I am to help improve communication and develop a greater understanding of yourself and your partner. I provide a listening space to work through difficulties and share practical tools and techniques that can strengthen and rebuild your relationship.
I feel passionate about supporting both individuals and couples to understand themselves and the unique journey they have been on. I have found that CBT is a great tool to help you understand how unhelpful cycles arose, and how to break them.
You may feel like you’re trapped in repetitive cycles of unwanted thoughts and feelings. You may find that this stops you from going out of your comfort zone and stops you from connecting to the people that are important to you. From the outside it may look like you're keeping it all together but on the inside you feel trapped. With 15 years experience of working in mental health I aim to support you to unlock your potential through becoming more self-aware. I provide a safe, respectful and supportive space for you to identify your specific needs, explore issues and work through your difficulties.
I see myself as a therapist of colour and am interested in supporting individuals and couples who may want to explore issues surrounding race, culture and identity.
