About me

I’m Beenish, a Registered Therapist with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am an Integrative Counsellor, focused on Person-Centred and Psycho-dynamic training. I offer counselling in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi, which allows me to work in a culturally diverse and inclusive way, especially for clients developing their cultural adaptions.

I support clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore thoughts and feelings that may feel confusing or challenging. My clients tell me they feel safe and at ease with me, able to talk openly about things they have never shared before. I work in a genuine, empathic, and respectful way to help you explore whatever is troubling you.

I believe you already have the strengths and insight needed for change, and my role is to support you in discovering and using them. While counselling cannot always remove the difficulties you are facing, it will help you understand them and develop healthier ways of coping.

I offer a calm and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and safe to be yourself, so you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed level 2, 3 and 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, which includes clinical training.

Working with NHS Talking Therapies and Royal Trinity Hospice has given me valuable insight into the power of compassion and empathy in helping people feel heard and supported.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
