About me

If you are someone that is feeling lost, scared, anxious and alone I believe I am someone that will be able to help you. Perhaps you don't feel yourself, you have become someone you don't recognise, maybe you feel stuck, unable to work out what you need but know that things don't feel right. This can come from circumstances past and present or you may not be able to pinpoint why you are feeling the way you are. The important thing is you are looking for help and want things to change. Together we can begin this journey towards more awareness and understanding of yourself and what you need to move forward.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger, and OCD, and I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines client centred therapy, with CBT, Psychotherapy and Transactional analysis. I will tailor our therapy to meet your unique and specific needs.

I can offer a safe and confidential environment where you can feel heard, validated and connected. Through working together we will be able to begin the journey towards change and all along the way I will hold and support you in whatever you bring or discover. I can help you to get onto a better path that feels right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

My Experience

I have worked as a volunteer for a secondary school supporting the children and staff there.  I have also volunteered for the charity MIND where I have come across a range of different needs often presenting as anxiety and depression.

I have worked for the charity SAASS (Sexual Assault and Abuse Support Services). Here I have provided therapy for clients as well as led Psycho education programmes for them to help clients understand why the brain works in the way it does after trauma and how we can help ourselves.

My qualifications and training

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 3 Counselling Studies
  • Level 2 Counselling Skills

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
