About me
Brief therapy — working with a specific focus
Short-term therapy using NHS recommended models of counselling to help you explore how to become an expert at recognising what drives your depression, anxiety or relationship issues. Counselling will give you time and space to look at life's challenges and can help you recognise that the way you currently feel able to deal with these issues may hold you back from living your life as you desire.
If you have suffered long periods of low mood, anxiety, mood swings, phobias, obsessive-compulsive behaviours or withdrawal from closeness, therapy will assist you to look at your difficulties more closely and find a more positive approach to life.
There is an increasing awareness that withdrawal from antidepressant or anti anxiety medication is more common and challenging than previously recognised. If you are experiencing difficulties coming of your medication I can offer therapeutic support in conjunction with your doctor’s advice and care.
I recognise how difficult it is to choose a therapist or the approach and therefore I am happy to offer a FREE HALF HOUR consultation to explore if therapy may be helpful to address your current challenges. If you feel you may wish to explore this option, please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss a convenient time. You are under no obligation to continue into therapy after this session.
I specialise in short-term therapy and work with a variety of short-term models such as ISTDP - DIT - CBT and Solution Focused therapy. I have experience working in the NHS, community counselling services and in private practice.
Please consult my website for a more in-depth outline of these different counselling approaches.
I offer one-to-one sessions at my consultation room in Enfield, as well as online counselling sessions for people who are frequent travellers or who find it difficult to attend because of work commitments.
If my response to your enquiry is to a hotmail account, please check your junk inbox as emails from people not in your address book will often be directed there

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
