About me

With expertise in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and discrimination, I offer a compassionate and insightful approach to therapy.

As a therapist, I believe that positive change is possible, even in the face of life’s challenges like low self-esteem, work-related stress, or family issues. I provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This empowers you to develop resilience, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful changes that enhance your well-being and quality of life.

My current research focuses on two key areas: memory and intergenerational trauma, as well as the societal representation of childless women. Through this work, I have developed a profound understanding of how trauma, loss, and societal expectations shape emotional and psychological well-being.

Furthermore, my volunteer work as a counsellor with various charities has provided me with invaluable experience in supporting individuals during difficult times, especially in areas such as grief, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am committed to providing professional, tailored therapy. Whether in-person or online, my approach is designed to meet your unique needs and ensure a safe and supportive space for growth.

Person-centred therapy
In our sessions, you lead the way. I'm here to listen, support, and foster a safe environment where you can explore and process your experiences.

Trauma-informed therapy
I am a trauma-informed therapist, and I understand the complex ways in which trauma can manifest, whether through low self-esteem, anxiety, displacement, dissociation, PTSD, or difficulties in relationships.

Your story, your words
As a therapist, I will support you in articulating your stories, memories, and feelings. Through collaborative narrative exploration, you will have the opportunity to develop profound psychological insights and transformative personal strategies. Together, we'll create a carefully constructed space where your unique experiences can be understood and processed with deep empathy.

Tailored sessions
Your journey is unique, and every session is explicitly designed to explore your experiences and support your path to personal growth.

I welcome any questions you might have about our potential work together.  I aim to ensure you feel comfortable, heard, and hopeful about the path ahead.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
