About me
Therapy requires bravery, vulnerability, and self-love. Sometimes it is the hardest thing you will ever do in your life, but it can be the most rewarding. As a Cognitive behavioural psychotherapist I help people understand how the stories they have created about themselves impact their lives today, and what they can do to create a new story. The overall aim of therapy is to support you to explore your difficulties in a safe space and achieve the goals that you identify. My practice is centred on trust, empathy and empowerment.
My approach is to provide my clients with a safe and non-judgmental place where they can feel listened to and supported to deal with the challenges they are faced with. Feel free to reach out for a free telephone consultation. I welcome all enquiries and am happy to discuss your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
With a background in education and spiritual studies, I have been fortunate to work with all ages and backgrounds that enhances my work as a therapist. Goals and techniques used in therapy will be based on each client individually according to their needs. I pride myself on developing thoughtful, evidence-based therapeutic strategies for each of my clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
