About me
Hi, I’m Ash, a Clinical Psychologist with experience supporting people through trauma, anxiety, shame, psychosis, addiction, relationship difficulties, and emotional overwhelm. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and my aim is to offer a space where you feel heard, understood, and safe to explore what’s going on for you.
I’ve worked across NHS, community, inpatient, and private settings with individuals, couples, and families from a wide range of backgrounds. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies, while always recognising that each person’s experiences and needs are unique.
You may be feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or struggling with patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we can make sense of these experiences, build on your strengths, and work towards meaningful and lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
I value working alongside people from diverse identities, cultures, and beliefs, and strive to create a respectful, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Sessions are available online or in person.
To help you decide whether I’m the right fit for you, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have, and explore how therapy could support you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a qualified Clinical Psychologist, having completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leeds. Prior to this, I completed a Master's degree in Developmental Psychopathology at Durham University, with a focus on adolescent mental health.
While my academic training has been an important foundation, the most meaningful learning has come through my work with people — hearing their stories, understanding their perspectives, and collaborating with colleagues across diverse settings. These real-world experiences have shaped my approach beyond textbook understandings.
I am skilled in working with individuals, couples, and families.Over the years, I’ve worked across a range of services, including CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), forensic services, physical health settings, Early Intervention in Psychosis teams, and drug and alcohol services. These roles have deepened my understanding of how mental health intersects with different life experiences, identities, and systems — and they continue to inform the way I practice today.
I am in the process of completing my EMDR training.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
