About me
Hi, I’m Ash. I’m a Clinical Psychologist specialising in helping people heal from trauma and its effects—such as addiction, shame, guilt, and anxiety and depression.
For many years, I’ve worked within NHS services, supporting individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—often searching for greater meaning or clarity in their lives.
Whether in person or online, we will develop a shared understanding of your experiences, working at a pace and in a style that feels safe and supportive. My approach is grounded in evidence-based psychological therapies and shaped by extensive expertise in working with trauma.
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help you get a feel for whether working together feels like the right fit. You're welcome to ask questions, share what’s on your mind, or simply get a sense of how I work.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a qualified Clinical Psychologist, having completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leeds. Prior to this, I completed a Master's degree in Developmental Psychopathology at Durham University, with a focus on adolescent mental health.
While my academic training has been an important foundation, the most meaningful learning has come through my work with people — hearing their stories, understanding their perspectives, and collaborating with colleagues across diverse settings. These real-world experiences have shaped my approach far more than textbooks ever could.
Over the years, I’ve worked across a range of services, including CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), forensic services, physical health settings, Early Intervention in Psychosis teams, and drug and alcohol services. These roles have deepened my understanding of how mental health intersects with different life experiences, identities, and systems — and they continue to inform the way I practice today.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
