About me
I am a BABCP-registered Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and an NMC registered general nurse with a diverse background. I have extensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and eating disorder experience and currently work within a community CAMHS team. In my private practice I deliver CBT to all ages for depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, eating disorders and pre and postnatal mental health difficulties to name a few. I am based in Hertfordshire. I can offer therapy over the phone, via MS teams and face to face. The therapy rooms I use for face to face work are based in Wheathampsted and Hertford.
I offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to individual needs. My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practice, with a strong focus on tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs. I also have a registered therapy dog who can join therapy sessions if requested.
If you’d like support for yourself or your child, please get in touch to find out how I can help.
Training, qualifications & experience
Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from the University of Hertfordshire 2024- Distinction
Bachelors in Science in Adult Nursing from the University of Hertfordshire 2015- First Class Honours
Over the years I have worked extensively across CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) , including inpatient settings where I progressed from nurse and senior nurse to ward manager and later Clinical Nurse Specialist in eating disorders. I now manage a team of CAMHS practitioners in a community-based service, supporting young people living in a children’s home environment.
Alongside my specialist experience in child and adolescent mental health and eating disorders, I also provide CBT for children, adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, perfectionism, postnatal depression and anxiety, and other common mental health difficulties. I have particular interest and experience in working with neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism).
