About me
I’m Antonia (she/her), a queer therapist with a special interest in grief and bereavement (and so much more!).
I see people for regular appointments once a week, or every couple of weeks, depending on what each person needs and is looking for. I offer time-limited therapy as well as longer term, open-ended therapy.
I work with adults of all ages, supporting individuals with a variety of concerns, including challenges around identity, self worth, anxiety, depression, bereavement, communication and relational issues, and more.
Therapy can be a vehicle for self-discovery, as well as healing: I believe being in conversation — and truly being listened to — can uncover your authentic self, desires, and the answers you may be looking for. As your therapist, I’m not here to tell you what to do or how to feel — and sometimes therapy will make you feel worse! — but I will go where you go, reflecting as well as gently challenging. We will explore both the 'here and now' of your life, as well as tracing your thoughts and feelings to their historical roots.
As a therapist, I am dedicated to providing a queer affirming and trauma-informed space. I welcome individuals across the full spectrum of gender expression, sexual orientation, identity and relationship styles.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP-registered and qualified person-centred counsellor, and trained at the University of Middlesex.
I have previously worked at a local bereavement counselling service and an LGBTQ+ community counselling service in London, running and managing the services, as well as providing short term mental health support to clients.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in publishing, creative agencies, and the charity sector.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Additional information
I charge £60/hour for weekly sessions online, and £75/hour for biweekly sessions online.
I offer concession rates of £50/hour for students and low-income clients.
