About me

You may have spent years putting others first, meeting expectations, avoiding conflict, or trying to be the person everyone relies on. Yet underneath, you may feel exhausted, guilty, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of what you truly want.

For many people, these patterns are shaped by family relationships, cultural values, or community expectations where loyalty, responsibility, and self-sacrifice are deeply valued, often making it difficult to prioritise your own needs without guilt.

You might find it difficult to set boundaries, say no without guilt, make decisions for yourself, or balance your own needs with the expectations of family, relationships, culture, or community. You may feel caught between different identities, worlds, or versions of yourself, wanting to honour where you come from whilst also creating a life that feels authentic to you.

You do not have to navigate this alone.

I have extensive experience supporting women from migrant, minority ethnic, and culturally diverse backgrounds who are navigating family expectations, people-pleasing, shame, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and questions around cultural identity and belonging.

I offer a warm, compassionate, and culturally sensitive space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of what may be shaping how you feel, relate, and cope. Together, we can explore the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships, understand where they come from, and develop a stronger connection with yourself, your needs, and your sense of identity.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and person-centred. I recognise how family dynamics, cultural expectations, migration, belonging, early experiences, and relationships can shape how we see ourselves, what we believe we deserve, and how we move through the world.

At the heart of my work is creating a space where you can explore your experiences without judgement, feel more connected to yourself, and develop a more compassionate relationship with who you are.

I can support you with:

• Family conflict and relationship dynamics
• Controlling or abusive relationships
• Shame, guilt, and people-pleasing
• Boundaries and self-worth
• Emotional overwhelm and burnout
• Anxiety and low mood
• Trauma and difficult life experiences
• Identity and self-esteem
• Cultural identity and belonging
• Navigating life between cultures
• Navigating religion/faith and changing beliefs

Alongside my qualifications, I bring extensive experience working with trauma, including childhood trauma, as well as emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, addiction, low self-esteem, and the impact of challenging family and life experiences.

My experience has given me a strong understanding of how family dynamics, cultural expectations, identity, trauma, and significant life events can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others.

My work is trauma-informed, with a focus on safety, pacing, emotional boundaries, and creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel supported to explore difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable and right for you.

I work with adults, couples, and family relationships, helping people better understand themselves, their patterns, and their connections with others.
