I am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Accredited Voluntary Register (AVR) and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I provide a confidential, supportive and non-judgemental environment in which to help with a range of difficulties that can arise in life, you may want help with:
- stress or anxiety
- depression or a general feeling of unhappiness
- relationships (partner, family or workplace)
- a crisis or life transition
- loss or bereavement
- eating disorders
- bullying or abuse
- feelings of anger
- low self worth or confidence
- addictions or related issues.
It may be a recent problem that brings you to counselling or perhaps earlier life events. Often current difficulties are connected with experiences in the past. By really listening to you without rushing in to give you advice we can explore these connections and the conscious and less conscious aspects of your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I can help you make sense of what is happening, at your own pace, in a way that is meaningful to you. This greater insight can offer new ways of thinking about things, help you feel differently about yourself and can lead to lasting change in the way that you live your life.
What to do next?
Please call or email to arrange an initial consultation.I also offer a free informal telephone discussion to talk about what brings you to counselling.

I practice from accessible and comfortable consulting rooms in Charvil, which is within easy reach of Twyford, Woodley, Sonning and Henley. I also practice in central Reading and the centre of Wokingham. There is plenty of parking close by at all locations.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
