About me
Hello, thank you for taking the time to view my profile and congratulations on taking a brave step towards caring for yourself.
Maybe you have something specific to bring or just want to feel more like the old you again.
Whatever it is, entrusting a stranger, feeling safe and tended to in an unfamiliar setting or not knowing what to expect can be daunting and mind boggling.
I understand this having experienced it myself both personally and professionally. However, the benefits I’ve witnessed through counselling make any initial discomforts worthwhile.
I offer a relaxed, confidential room in my private garden.
You will be heard and supported without judgement, which will allow you to explore any sensitive, unresolved anguish in your present and/ or past.
You will feel empowered when you are able to find your own inner strength and solutions.
Developing a clearer understanding of yourself promotes future health and well-being.
I work using an integrative, humanistic approach which I adjust to suit each individual, offering both short term and long term counselling for adults aged 18 and over.
I also offer Hypnotherapy and deep relaxation that can be used in conjunction with counselling or separately if this is something that you would like to consider.
Our therapeutic relationship is an extremely important aspect of counselling so if you decide I am not the counsellor for you there is no obligation to continue.

Testimonials
”I wasn’t sure what to expect from my sessions with Annette as I hadn’t encountered any kind of counselling before. I needed help to come to terms with some major losses in my life and to find a way forward into the future. Annette is hugely patient and professional. She steered me through our sessions considerately and at my own pace, helping me to find answers without really knowing where we were going. I have been given awareness and thinking tools to help me take control and cope both now and in the future, my life is so much better for it”
”I went to my initial session with a set of ideas and thoughts on what I thought was wrong but was surprised to find it went a lot deeper than I thought. Although it wasn’t an easy journey to complete, with Annette’s help it was one of the most rewarding. She has given me the awareness to identify and adjust my behaviour patterns accordingly to continue the positive process going forward. Annette has a comfortable room where she sees her clients and a friendly calm manner which made me feel instantly comfortable. Couple that with her infinite patience,I have no hesitation in recommending.”
