About me

Hi. I’m Anne. It's lovely to meet you. I’m an accredited Integrative Counsellor and Coach with over 25 years’ experience supporting people in wellbeing and development roles across higher education, the NHS and in community settings.

I offer in-person sessions in Sheffield in my beautiful practice space. I also offer online and telephone sessions.

How I work

My approach is relational and person-centred with connection at the heart of my work. I aim to walk alongside you with empathy and presence. Counselling with me offers a calm, present and supportive space to pause, reflect and make sense of things.

Coaching with me offers a supportive space to clarify your goals, build confidence and make meaningful changes in your personal or professional life. I combine curiosity, warmth and practical tools to support insight, growth and purposeful action.

My aim is for us to work together enabling you to feel truly understood through our working relationship. My approach combines care, listening, empathy and evidence-based techniques to help you talk about what matters most. This may involve understanding your emotions, recognising patterns that may be holding you back and discovering new ways to respond to find your footing again.

Areas I work with

Everyone’s situation is unique. The areas below reflect some of the experiences I often support people with in my counselling. You don’t need to fit neatly into them. If you’re feeling stuck, weighed down or unsure, we can explore things together and find a way forward that feels right for you. I have particular experience supporting people through:

  • Miscarriage
  • Life transitions and major changes
  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • Anxiety, low mood and worry
  • Stress and work-related stress
  • Illness and health changes (including cancer)
  • Bereavement, grief and loss
  • Trauma and difficult experiences

In coaching, I often work with personal development and life coaching, work, career and confidence coaching and health and wellbeing coaching.

I will give you my full attention, will truly listen and be fully present without distraction or judgement. The power of attention which is at the heart of my practice is summed up in Nancy Kline’s ‘Ten components of a Thinking Environment’ and adaptations (2010 onwards) when she says “The attention of one human being to another is an act of creation.”

What’s next?

I encourage you to book in for a free 20-minute discovery call for us to talk, for you to ask any questions and to see if working together feels like the right next step for you. I hope to hear from you.

Feedback:

Anne has been an incredible support as I've navigated three family members with cancer and the transition into my 40s. She helped me manage the mix of worry, exhaustion and that sudden awareness of getting older that made me anxious about the future. I always leave sessions feeling calmer, clearer and more able to cope with whatever comes next. (Sarah R, 2026).

Anne has an amazing ability to put everyone at ease so they can share any detail of their life without judgement. Anne asks non-intrusive questions in a way that it helps people open up and be honest, so they always feel more positive after spending time with her. (Brian E, 2026).
