Anne Palmer MBACP
Thank you for visiting my profile. It is difficult taking the first step towards finding a counsellor, in fact it is daunting and I do understand. However, this can be a starting point for you to gain some insight with the support of a counsellor who can meet your needs. An initial phone conversation or email can help you with this process.
I am a very experienced professional working with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationships problems, abuse, bereavement and loss in all its forms. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space which is fundamental to our work together.
My way of working is relational, which means placing you at the heart of therapy and building a trusting relationship, where you can explore your concerns safely in a confidential setting. Some clients live with anxiety, and depression long before seeking help. Therapy can create an environment for you to be heard and through the therapeutic relationship you can start to gain insight and build resilience towards improving your well-being and moving forward with your life.
I am an Integrative therapist working in private practice with adults. I currently counsel on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Free parking is available.
Please feel free to call me for an initial free conversation about arranging an appointment on: 0752 6070346 or email
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold a Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling. (BACP Accredited Course).
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
