About me

Counselling is an opportunity for developing understanding and self-awareness leading to personal growth.  I aim to support you towards resilience and change by exploring and adapting unhelpful patterns of behaviour that you may be experiencing.  Within a non judgemental relationship, difficulties can be thought about and explored to provoke new outcomes. I provide a safe space for you to explore what is troubling you and my practice aims to support your move towards a more comfortable way of being.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP registered psychodynamic counsellor with over 15 years of experience working with adults 18+ providing both long term and short term counselling. I have worked as the clinical coordinator for a counselling centre in Bedford and in mental health services. I graduated from university with a degree in Psychology and Philosophy and I hold Post Graduate qualifications in Psychology and Psychodynamic Counselling. I am also fully qualified for online/telephone counselling and short term solution focused work.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
