About me

Are you finding life overwhelming?  Have you experienced trauma or bereavement? Are low moods or anxiety affecting your work, home life or relationships? Are you concerned about your behaviour or reactions to some situations?  Do you feel stressed , exhausted and emotional? Or do you feel like no one understands how you are feeling? Maybe you a couple and you are experiencing stresses and challenges in your relationship.  I offer counselling and psychotherapy, with a non - judgemental, respectful , relational approach.

Who do I offer counselling to?

I am an adult and adolescent counsellor

Where and how can we meet together for therapy?

- I offer a peaceful, private space to work face to face in Crowborough

- I also work online using Zoom, Skype or other preferred , safe platforms.

- I offer telephone therapy

- I also offer walk and talk therapy , which uses outside spaces to provide the therapy environment.

- Although it is not my normal practice to visit people at home, where there is an exceptional circumstance, I will visit care homes and individual homes if health or disability are an obstacle.

What types of mental health challenges can you bring to therapy?

Come as you are; I can help you with a wide range of issues, with or without a diagnosis and no challenge you face is too small. I have a particular interest and experience working with young people, people experiencing anxiety , depression, self harm, trauma and suicidal idolisation.

Who am I?

My previous experiences as a Veterinary Nurse and Lecturer/personal tutor led me to desire more pastoral skills and I decided to train in counselling and psychotherapy (Transactional Analysis), leading to a career change. For several years now, I have had the pleasure of working in private practice as well as in secondary schools, where I offer individual and group therapy for adolescents and adults. Dyslexia has been a challenge in life as well as a blessing to me. It is a privilege and pleasure to support young people and adults, struggling with their own difficulties, stresses and anxieties, as they work towards healthy coping strategies and a sense of well being.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained for four years in Transactional Analysis (Psychotherapy); one foundation year and three clinical years. I work under the ethical framework laid out by The European Association of Transactional Analysist’s (EATA) and the UK Association of Transaction Analysis (UKATA) where I am listed as a practitioner. I continually update my knowledge and experience using supervision and CPD as required by UKATA.

I have worked with a range of difficulties for example: depression, anxiety, abuse, grief, self harm, suicidal thoughts, trauma, relationship challenges, illness and anger.
