Are you finding life overwhelming? Have you experienced trauma or bereavement? Are low moods or anxiety affecting your work, home life or relationships? Are you concerned about your behaviour or reactions to some situations? Do you feel stressed , exhausted and emotional? Or do you feel like no one understands how you are feeling? Maybe you are a parent and you are worried about your son or daughters low mood or anxiety ? Are you or your child self harming or having worrying or suicidal thoughts?
I provide a warm, respectful, non judgemental space where no concern is too small. Whether you are an individual, couple, adult or adolescent, I offer counselling and psychotherapy where you can share the concerns you are facing and work towards an improved sense of wellbeing. You may have goals already or I can help you to find what you need to feel better. I work in a family orientated practice in Seaford and also provide counselling and psychotherapy to local secondary schools.
I also have previous experience in the veterinary and educational sectors and offer a variety of CPD , therapy and support on site if required.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained for four years in Transactional Analysis (Psychotherapy); one foundation year and three clinical years. I work under the ethical framework laid out by The European Association of Transactional Analysist’s (EATA) and the UK Association of Transaction Analysis (UKATA) where I am listed as a practitioner. I continually update my knowledge and experience using supervision and CPD as required by UKATA.
I have worked with a range of difficulties for example: depression, anxiety, abuse, grief, self harm, suicidal thoughts, trauma, relationship challenges, illness and anger.
Before I trained to be a psychotherapist I was a veterinary nurse and lecturer giving me a particular understanding and empathy with the mental health issues that relate to the veterinary industry and the education sector.
