About me
Hi, and welcome to my little space here!
Worry, trauma memories, depression, OCD, phobias and/or low self-esteem can quietly take over daily life affecting work, relationships, and confidence.
I offer evidence based CBT and EMDR to help you feel steadier, process what’s happened, and move forward with greater self compassion.
Choosing a therapist is a big step. You may be feeling uncertain about what to expect, so here is a little about me and what I offer...
I’m Anisa, an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) therapist and Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist offering compassionate, evidence based therapy online and face to face in Shropshire.
I have over 15 years’ experience in mental health care, having first qualified as a Mental Health Nurse with Staffordshire University in 2010. I later specialised in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in 2016 through Staffordshire University and went on to gain advanced training in EMDR with the EMDR Academy.
Compassion and helping people improve their relationship with themselves, building self worth, reducing self criticism, and developing healthier internal narratives, is at the centre of the therapy I offer.
This combination of skills allows me to provide tailored, effective, evidence based treatment for a range of difficulties, including stress, anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, trauma responses (including PTSD), and long standing issues with self esteem. I provide a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your challenges and begin working towards your goals.
Based in Shropshire and working with clients across Shrewsbury, Telford, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Chester, Staffordshire and surrounding areas.
