About me

Hi, my name is Ania and I look forward to meeting you.

As a counsellor, I offer a safe, non-judgmental and empowering space where you can freely explore and work through difficult feelings and emotions. I am here to listen to you, to truly understand you and what you are going through.

In my practice, I integrate a variety of therapy approaches to ensure I best support you given where you are at. Whether you are new to counselling or wish to continue with ongoing therapy, we will begin by identifying your individual needs.

I offer counselling for a wide range of presenting concerns including:

  • conditions such as depression, addiction, anxiety or eating disorders,
  • difficult life events, such as a relationship breakdown, work-related stress, or bereavement,
  • difficult feelings and emotions such as loneliness, anger or low self-esteem,
  • resolving conflict in personal and professional relationships,
  • finding purpose and restoring work-life balance,
  • dealing with physical health conditions, such as chronic pain or illness.

I am here to offer you my full attention, genuine interest and care for your well-being. I will encourage you to talk about your feelings and emotions, and listen without judgment or criticism, but will also highlight thoughts and issues you may want to reflect on and address.

In our session, I will help you get a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes, and will also encourage you to focus on responses in your body to help you release any suppressed emotions. I will also help you develop coping skills and mechanisms to enable you to make positive changes in your life.

Change can be scary as it involves letting go of what is familiar and stepping into the unknown – which requires faith and trust. I will walk alongside you, providing you the guidance and support you need, not telling you what to do but empowering you to make those changes yourself.

You may be seeking counselling to resolve a specific issue or would like to work through deeper unresolved issues/patterns; we can work on either a short-term result-focused basis, or in a more open-ended manner.

I am happy to meet you for an introductory session to determine whether and how I can help. If we then work together, we will regularly review progress to ensure you are getting the most out of our sessions.

I work with individuals and couples (plus other types of relationships) as well as young people from age 13 and above, and can interact in both English and Polish.

My practice welcomes people from across all ethnic, cultural and religious
backgrounds. Please feel free to reach out to me – it is good to talk.

I am passionate about counselling and I see it as a gift to be able to walk this path with you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
