The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I struggled to find a qualified professional who had life experience outside of the caring professions when I started my own therapy. While I focus on Carl Rogers’ “Person Centred” approach in my counselling work, I’ll add structure, bring you along with the process, explain what we’re doing while we do it, and relate your experience to a wider context, be that in industry or elite sport (where my background has been).
