About me
I’m a psychotherapeutic counsellor experienced in working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, and with diverse needs.
My practice and way of working is integrative (draws on different therapeutic approaches to help me meet you where you are), and aims to bridge the past, the present and beyond. The issues bringing you into therapy might, for example, be the result of early wounding, a present-day struggle or crisis, or perhaps something you can’t quite put your finger on - a sense of being stuck, a neglected or under-served longing for greater meaning and connection. Whatever your reasons for seeking help and support, my aim is to accompany you as you explore and make sense of them.
Practice description
Central to my practice is the belief that our challenges and struggles might be communicating something - that if we can resist the urge to see them as problems to be fixed, they might point the way to a deep inner wisdom, and the potential for self-renewal. If met with sensitivity and care, they might point towards underlying wounds and the life that can be reclaimed if they can be contacted and mourned. They might help us make healing contact with parts of ourselves that have been dismissed and disowned, and that want to be invited into the warmth and welcomed home. They might help draw our attention inwards, away from habitual, doing-driven life and towards the depths - a place where image, dreams and imagination can lead us into a richer, more nourishing relationship with self and others.
First session
Our first session will be a chance for you to tell me about yourself and what you would like to get out of therapy. It’s also an opportunity to get to know me and my way of working and to ask any questions you might have. If it feels like we might be a good fit, we can then establish a counselling agreement and way forward.

BACP Registered Member
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
