About me
Welcome to my profile!
I am an integrative therapist, offering coaching, counselling and psychotherapy to adult clients in Newcastle under Lyme and Oxford. I work with individual clients and couples, and welcome clients from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
I aim to provide a professional and comfortable environment where you will feel welcome, where you can talk about your thoughts and feelings in confidence, achieve deeper insight into yourself, your problems and your life, and where you can identify and work towards making positive changes that will enhance your overall sense of wellbeing.
As an integrative therapist I use a combination of different types of therapy, tailored to suit the unique needs and preferences of each individual client. Rather than focusing solely on mental or emotional health I adopt a holistic approach, recognizing that the psychological, physical, spiritual, social and environmental aspects of life are interconnected, and that problems in one area of life can affect all the others.
I offer a 30-minute initial consultation - with no obligation and completely free of charge - which gives us the opportunity to meet each other and decide if we can work together. I won’t ask you to book any appointments at the initial consultation. Instead I will aim to provide you with all the information you need to take away and think about before coming to a decision. If you decide you would like to work with me, you can then contact me by telephone or e-mail to book your first session.
Please feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail to discuss your requirements or if you have any questions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and hold an MSc degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. In addition to my private practice, I work as a therapist within organizations in the public and voluntary sectors, including an in-house staff counselling service and well-known charities. I have helped clients facing a wide range of issues, both personal and work-related.
Before training as a therapist, I worked in management roles for over 25 years, gaining extensive experience in business management, finance, team leadership, coaching, mentoring, and designing and delivering training programmes. I have lived and worked in the UK, Asia and Australia, and am comfortable working with people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.
