About me
I am a qualified person-centred practitioner, using, talking therapies, IEMT, NLP and Old Pain To Go as well as a clinical supervisor for trainee and qualified counsellors. I provide non managerial supervision for professionals and health care professionals . I work face to face and online as required. As a person-centred practitioner I will not advise or tell you what to do or what decisions to make. I will listen in a non-judgemental way, to support you to come to your own conclusions and give you the space in which to talk about any problems or issues you may have, in a safe and confidential environment.
I also work as a person centred supervisor/non-managerial supervision, supporting your work as a counsellor, trainee counsellor or other health and social care worker in a professional and ethical manner. Working together to support you, your clients, your future working career and CPD.I work from home where I have a lovely welcoming therapy room in which you can discuss any worries or problems you may have without the fear of anyone else listening. I specialise in anxiety, self esteem issues and work with inner child therapy and IEMT (Integral eye movement therapy),NLP and Old Pain to Go. I also use meditation if together we decide this would be of benefit to yourself.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I specialise in building a trusting relationship with you, which I feel will enable you to discuss any areas of concern arising in your life.
In conjunction with person centred counselling, I am also able to offer meditation and healing energies such as Reiki to help release inner emotions which can become trapped deep within the body muscles and fibres causing physical pain and discomfort.
I also work with inner child and IEMT (Integral eye movement therapy) to support clients with past and childhood trauma.
I work in many different areas for adults and children, including stress, anxiety, bereavement, illness, relationships, family difficulties etc. Please contact me for further information on any areas which are currently challenging for you, to make sure that I provide the support you need at this time.

Testimonials
I can recommend Andrea as she is kind and caring which makes her good at what she does. I go for regular treatments and find it a wonderful experience, that treats the whole person. Margaret, Burnley
Andrea is friendly, conscientious, professional, well qualified and always willing to discuss the different treatments she offers and will give feedback when asked. She gives timely reminders for appointments, which I find helpful and more importantly the treatments are beneficial and always leave me feeling totally relaxed and de-stressed.
Judith, Burnley
Andrea is completely non-judgemental and trustworthy in her counselling approach. I feel I can talk about anything that is bothering me at the time. The environment is warm, relaxing, professional and friendly.
