About me

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP. I am passionate about the work that I do and I have experience working with adult clients from all walks of life. Helping them to navigate life's challenges such as, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and bereavement. I would say the key has been in building effective relationships with my clients allowing them to completely be themselves. I bring a compassionate and non-judgemental perspective to every session, encouraging my clients to see their situation more clearly and find their own voice.

Training as integrative enables me to tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. We are all different and what may work for one person may not necessarily work for another. There are times when you may need a bit more. Drawing on other concepts and theories, allows us to take an in depth look at what is going on for you. Helping to uncover repetitive patterns of behaviour for example, and understand how they maybe contributing to what you feel is going wrong. My goal, is to create a collaborative and empathetic environment , where you can express yourself freely

Whether it’s life, work, your relationships, or anything else that’s important to you, contact me.

I currently offer sessions online or over the phone. Therefore my clients can be based anywhere in the UK.

I offer short term or open-ended sessions. You may be someone who only needs a few or equally you maybe someone who starts out short-term but then realises more sessions are needed, and that's fine too.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
