About me
I combine a gentle person-centred approach with somatic and body work to reconnect your mind and body and help you cope better with everyday life. You may be feeling misunderstood by those around you, lonely in your experience of the world or like you are questioning your own reality. I am here to help you make sense of these thoughts and experiences by listening to you with my full attention to ensure you feel deeply heard and understood. We can explore your experiences of trauma, relating with family members, conditioning from family or society, feelings of anxiety and coping with everyday life or feeling low and stuck.
I fully believe you know what is right for you, even if you are struggling to believe that right now. Talking with someone who believes in your ability to heal and grow is at the heart of person-centred therapy. Over time you can start to accept yourself and trust in your own experience, easing feelings of shame, worthlessness and anxiety.
What will happen in a counselling session with me?
Every counselling session is unique. Person centred therapy is a talking therapy so you can bring what is troubling you at that moment and I will meet you where you are emotionally. We will use somatic and body work techniques to make sense of your experiences and strengthen you nervous system to better cope with everyday life.
Where I work
I endeavour to create a safe supportive space for you to share what you may not be able to with others. I have a peaceful and calm therapy room in Garstang where we can meet to explore your experience together. Sometimes talking in your own home can feel more comfortable and so I also offer online therapy or home visits.
When I work
Please see my availability calendar. My availability will vary based on which type of appointment you require. If you would like to see if we could work together please send me an email or a text/WhatsApp message to arrange a free 30 minute session at a time that works for you. Put yourself first and contact me today.
