About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the thoughts that are running through your head? Thoughts that are generating anxiety, worry, fear, sadness, shame or a general feeling of being 'stuck', feeling helpless and not being able to find a way forward. Life can be challenging at times and sometimes you need a helping hand to work through problems, find some clarity and move forward in life.

Counselling provides a confidential, non-judgemental  space just for you to talk through and explore what's going on. My role is to listen to you and support you with empathy and curiosity so you can openly explore your feelings and emotions. Together we can unpick the difficulties and find some clarity to why you are thinking and feeling this way. We will work together to  recognize your strengths so you can start feeling positive about yourself and your life again. Working together we will find ways to overcome obstacles and challenges and to have a better relationship with yourself and others. This will enable you to start masking changes in your life that are meaningful to you.

I work with people online or face to face. I am based at the Health and Wellbeing centre in Axminster which is a lovely tranquil setting in the centre of town.

I have extensive experience of working with people with a wide range of issues including:

  • Anxiety/ panic attacks
  • Low self-esteem
  • Depression
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Bereavement/Loss
  • Self-harm
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Impact of Traumatic events
  • Abuse
  • Coping with stress
  • Addiction
  • Family issues
  • Bullying
  • Negative thinking
  • Life changes.                                                                                                              Please do get in touch if you would like any more information about me or how counselling works. I understand that it might feel uncomfortable reaching out to a stranger but I can assure you that I will greet you with warmth and understanding. Get in touch by filling in the form here. You can request a free no obligation phone call so you can ask any questions you may have and I can talk to you about what's going on for you and see how I can help. You can also look at my website if you would like any more information about me and how I can support you.

Key details

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I am able to offer sessions to wheelchair users but unfortunately the toilet facilities in the building are not wheelchair accessible.
