About me

Feeling overwhelmed by the thoughts that are running through your head? Thoughts that are generating anxiety, worry, fear, sadness, shame or a general feeling of being 'stuck', feeling helpless and not being able to find a way forward. Sometimes experiences from our past can haunt us still, making it difficult to have healthy relationships and live the life we want to live. Life can throw us unpredicted challenges such as coping with the loss of a loved one, breakdowns in relationships, experiencing something that is terrifying, too much to process alone leaving us shutdown and living in a state of constant anxiety and fear. Are your struggles leaving you feeling exhausted and alone, hopeless, desperate for a way out of the cycle? Everyone is unique and no matter how big or small you feel your struggles are they deserve to be heard and healed.

I have experience working with people with a wide range of issues. I have supported people with anxiety and panic attacks, depression, PTSD, low self-esteem, bereavement, addiction, relationship difficulties just to name a few.  I am passionate about the work I do and dedicated to helping people overcome obstacles and challenges so they can go on to lead happier lives, empowering them to make changes and giving them hope for a brighter future. You can start to heal when you have the time and space to talk about what's going on for you. I can provide that warm, supportive space for you to come and explore some of those thoughts and feelings without the fear of judgement. Being listened to by someone that is not going to judge, give their opinion or advice but truly listen with empathy and curiosity about what's going on for you is healing in itself. I can support you while you try and understand why you are thinking and feeling this way, help you to make choices about life that are meaningful to you, help you to build up your resilience and find strategies to cope with challenge. Please do get in touch if you would like any more information about how counselling works and what to expect. I do understand that sometimes it can be a daunting prospect.

I am a fully qualified, NCS accredited counsellor working face to face in Axminster, East Devon, based at the tranquil Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre. I can also work online if it is too difficult to come to the centre or if that is what you would prefer. You are here because you are looking for help and that is brave and the first step. I understand that it might feel uncomfortable reaching out to a stranger but I can assure you that I will greet you with warmth and understanding. Get in touch by filling in the form here. You can request a free no obligation phone call so you can ask any questions you may have and I can talk to you about what's going on for you and see how I can help. You can also look at my website if you would like any more information about me and how I can support you.

Key details

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I am able to offer sessions to wheelchair users but unfortunately the toilet facilities in the building are not wheelchair accessible.
