About me
Welcome,
You may be here because you’re feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or fed up. You might find yourself overthinking or noticing patterns in your life that are difficult to understand or change.
It could be that you’re used to being there for other people, listening, supporting and holding things together, while your own thoughts and feelings are left not seen and heard.
Maybe you don’t feel any of this at all, maybe you want to come to counselling to have space where you want to talk about celebrations, talk about positive things in life, give space to things that you have been waiting for and now that they are finally here, you want to explore how it feels to have and experience them.
Why not give yourself the space to explore all of this or explore something I’ve not mentioned. Everyone is entitled to have the space and time to talk about themselves, be curious about their feelings, wonder why life is happening the way it is, wonder how life has come to this. Why not come and explore all of this and see what happens.
You don’t need to have a clear reason or specific issue to start counselling. Just having the space to be you can be more than enough.
Hi, I’m Amandeep…
I am a psychodynamic counsellor offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
My goal is to provide a caring and dedicated space where you feel listened to and understood. Here, we can curiously and carefully explore what you may be experiencing. The space I will be giving you will not be filled with advice or suggestions on what you need to do or how to navigate life, it will be filled with curiosity and discussions related to you.
What is psychodynamic counselling?
I’ve mentioned I’m a psychodynamic counsellor, so you may be wondering what that is.
Psychodynamic counselling works to understand how your past experiences, especially those from your childhood have an impact on where you are currently in your life. Some patterns and behaviours can stem from when you were young and you still may be consciously and unconsciously acting them out.
We look at your early life, your early relationships and see what patterns you have developed as well as recognising what needs your current relationships are fulfilling. We will notice these behaviours and explore if they are supporting you and why you are acting them out. Conscious and unconscious behaviours may include desires, urges and defences.
What working with me may look like…
The work with me is a collaborative relationship which supports you to understand yourself more deeply, and to find the answers that you already have or come to decisions which you already have but don’t know how to or if to take them.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I truly believe everyone deserves to feel heard, valued, and understood. I welcome you as you are, and respect your individuality, background, and lived experience.
If you are considering counselling or like what you are reading, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
