About me
-
I'm an experienced and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with over ten years experience. I work with most symptoms of distress , anxiety , depressions, life crisis points etc. Call or email to set up an initial session - appointments usually within a fortnight. An initial consultation will give you a chance to talk about your main concerns, focus on what you want from counselling, and help you decide if you want to work with me. I work with both individuals and couples

Testimonial
Counselling with Mandy gave me back my life. My mind had spiraled out of control due to unresolved issues that had accumulated over the years and had resurfaced with the death of my beloved father. Mandy made it easy for me to understand what had happened in my brain, then had given me some powerful tools to deal with the stresses I was under at the time. Along with her patience and empathy I found it easy to open up and talk through some childhood parenting issues. At 52, therapy was not at first easy to associate myself with. I thought that I could heal myself. This was not true, I couldn't and by the time I found Mandy I was in a real mess. A mess that could have been sorted out so much sooner. If you are reading this, give yourself the tools to not only understand but heal. Give Mandy an email.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
