About me
People often seek psychotherapy because they are feeling overwhelmed or are experiencing some kind of emotional pain. Issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, low self esteem or anger are often the symptoms of past traumas and experiences. This can result in feelings of sadness, low self confidence or generalised anxiety disorder. I offer an opportunity to identify and overcome these or other difficulties you may be experiencing.
My approach is integrative which combines psychodynamic and person centred counselling. Psychodynamic therapy can help explore and understand how these difficult feelings have been shaped by past experiences and relationships. Thoughts and behaviours can be looked at using a person centred approach to increase self awareness and confidence by looking at how we communicate with others.
I offer a warm, non-judgmental and confidential environment from my counselling room in a secluded location between Sarratt and Chorleywood. My aim is to provide a respectful and supportive setting to explore these difficult areas.
The initial 30 minute consultation is free and can be either online or over the telephone. This time is used to establish if we are able to work together and whether counselling feels right for you.
During an initial assessment session, we can explore the reasons you have decided to seek support at this time and agree the focus of our sessions together.
If you feel we may be able to work together, please contact me either by email, text or telephone. I am able to work short term or long term depending on your needs.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
