About me
I offer counselling online (UK wide) and individual walk and talk therapy in Brighton, Shoreham, Lancing, Burgess Hill and surrounding areas. I work with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, bereavement, as well as more general feelings of being stuck or lost.
I'm passionate about walk and talk therapy as I believe nature can have many positive effects on our mental health. Often my clients find the process of opening up and talking about difficult issues much more natural outside, particularly those struggling with anxiety.
I'm an empathic listener and create a warm, non-judgmental space to work collaboratively and at your pace. As an integrative counsellor, I'm trained in a range of therapeutic techniques. I can support you to identify unconscious behavioural patterns and explore how they impact your life. Through greater self-awareness, we can begin to make more informed, conscious choices and learn tools and strategies to help us move forward.
Clients often choose a combination of online and walking therapy, which enables flexibility. Online therapy is priced at £40. Walking therapy is priced at £45 in Brighton and Hove or £50 in surrounding locations. Concessionary rates available for students/low-income.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As well as my private practice, I work two days a week for a charity counselling a diverse range of clients, from teenagers to grandparents. Prior to becoming a counsellor I gained 10 years' experience working in wellbeing across colleges, universities and schools.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a free introductory session (20-30 minutes) via video call. We will complete a client assessment to explore what you would like from therapy and how I might be able to support you. If you feel I'm the right therapist for you, we will then find a mutually convenient time to begin weekly sessions, either online or walk and talk therapy, and these last 50 minutes.
