About me
Are you struggling with anxiety, overthinking, or low self esteem, even though you seem to be managing on the outside?
I’m a BABCP accredited CBT therapist and clinical supervisor with over 13 years’ experience, and I currently work in both the NHS and private practice. I offer a supportive, down to earth space to help you feel calmer, more confident, and more at ease in yourself. Based in Surrey, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low self esteem, and trauma related difficulties.
Many people I work with tell me they feel stuck in loops of worry, self doubt, and a very critical inner voice. You might find your mind is always busy, analysing, thinking ahead, or preparing for the worst. It can be hard to properly relax, even when things look fine to other people.
You may also find yourself saying yes when you want to say no, worrying about letting others down, or constantly putting other people’s needs before your own. Over time, these patterns can leave you feeling drained, anxious, and disconnected from yourself.
CBT can be really helpful for understanding how anxiety and low confidence are maintained. Together, we look at the patterns that keep you feeling stuck, such as avoidance, perfectionism, people pleasing, or feeling like you have to stay in control. We then work on finding new ways of responding, so things start to feel more manageable.
Sessions are collaborative and centred around real life situations. We focus on tools and strategies you can use outside the therapy room. I believe therapy works best when you have room to fully be yourself. It’s important there’s space for personality, light-heartedness, and shared laughter alongside the difficult parts!
I work with:
- Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)
- Low self esteem and self criticism
- Panic attacks and panic disorder
- OCD
- Social anxiety
- Phobias
- Depression and low mood
- PTSD and trauma related anxiety
Alongside CBT, I integrate ideas from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I’m also trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy, and can support clients where trauma continues to have an impact in the present.
I also provide clinical supervision and training to other therapists, alongside my client work.
I offer therapy that is practical, supportive, and focused on what will genuinely help you in everyday life. I adhere to BABCP ethical standards, ensuring safe, effective, and professional clinical practice.
