About me
Hi! I'm Alice, a CBT and EMDR therapist. I know that taking the first step to start therapy can feel daunting, sometimes even scary. My goal is to make the process feel safe, supportive and manageable. You don't have to do this alone, I'm here every step of the way.
I genuinely care about the people I work with, and I recognise that therapy is a significant commitment of time, energy, and money. Because of that, I am deeply invested in your journey and in helping you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I have 10 years experience supporting people's mental and emotional wellbeing across various settings and 7 years experience in a CAMHS service, supporting children and young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties.
I am fully qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with specialist training specifically in delivering CBT to children and young people. I am also trained in EMDR to support people in processing trauma and distressing experiences. Alongside these approaches, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your needs. We'll work together at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you, whether that's learning practical tools to manage daily struggles or processing deeper experiences that continue to affect you.
Reaching out is often the hardest part. If you feel ready, or even just curious, I offer a free initial consultation where you can ask any questions you may have and get a sense of whether we're the right fit. I'd be honoured to support you on your journey.
