About me
I am an experienced counsellor and clinical supervisor working with adolescents, adults, and counsellors in supervision. I bring a grounded, compassionate approach shaped by many years of work in schools, the NHS, and specialist counselling services.
I am based in a private counselling room on Berkhamsted High Street, and also offer walk and talk therapy for clients who find being outdoors helpful for thinking and talking, weather-permitting.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have taken a long route to counselling with a four year training encompassing a Psychodynamic Foundation from HBCF, a University Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from Hertfordshire University, an accredited Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from CPPD, and finally an accredited Advanced Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from CPPD.
I can deliver Short Term focussed therapy and CBT.
I have an up to-date DBS certificate and am fully insured.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Adolescent Counselling
I have extensive experience working with young people in secondary school settings, where I provide regular one-to-one counselling and work closely with pastoral teams. I support adolescents with anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation, identity issues, and school-related pressures, and I am experienced in navigating safeguarding, confidentiality, and communication with families.
Adult Counselling
Alongside my work with young people, I have supported adults in a range of settings including the NHS, GP surgeries, low-cost counselling services, and hospice care. My experience includes working with anxiety, trauma, loss and bereavement, life transitions, and the impact of significant or sudden change.
Clinical Supervision
I have been providing clinical supervision since 2020 and work with qualified counsellors, trainees, and NHS counselling staff. This includes individual and group supervision across private practice, NHS services, and training organisations. My supervisory approach is reflective and supportive, with a strong focus on ethical practice, professional development, and the emotional demands of therapeutic work.
I aim to offer a space that feels steady, respectful, and human — whether you are a young person seeking support, an adult needing time to think things through, or a counsellor looking for thoughtful supervision.
