About me
Thank you for viewing my profile. Seeking therapy and finding the right practitioner can both be challenging aspects of any therapeutic journey, especially at the start. If this is the first time you are seeking support, the process of finding the "right help" might seem even more daunting. In my practice, I aim to make the process of therapy accessible, by collaborating with you at each step, in order to tailor the therapeutic plan to your unique current experiences and challenges.
Holding a pluralistic philosophy and practice stance, I emphasise both your goals and the evidence base, as we make sense of your current difficulties and what approach to take. As opposed to a one-size-fits-all perspective, I am aware that therapeutic modalities and interventions can be helpful at different times, depending on your current context, and as such also take into account your preferences in the therapeutic process. I always aim to foster an environment of acceptance, respect, positive regard, transparency and emphasise your agency in your therapeutic journey, viewing both of us at the “active ingredients” of therapy.
If you have decided to book an appointment, following the free initial phone consultation, the first two sessions consist of an initial assessment. The goal of the assessment is to hear from you, in your own words, about the current difficulties you are experiencing and your therapeutic goals. Additionally, to collaboratively make sense of your story generating an initial psychological formulation and therapeutic plan, to provide you with an idea of what you could expect, prior to making your decision if you wish to book further sessions. Furthermore, it also serves as a time for both of us to decide if moving forward with the therapy is a "right fit" with regards to your expectations and my training/therapeutic practice stance.
Finding the "right fit" is a crucial step in any therapeutic journey. If you perceive me as such and wish to learn more, please do not hesitate to book a free 15-minute phone consultation. Otherwise, I encourage to keep searching, as I believe the right support is available and you do not have to experience or make sense of these challenges by yourself.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
