About me
Hello, I’m Aggie I am an integrative counsellor. I offer a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly and be truly heard without judgement. Together, we can explore the challenges you’re facing, such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, addiction, or relationship difficulties, always at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My approach is warm, patient, and compassionate. I believe that each person’s experience is unique, and that with the right support, everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, and build resilience. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or longer-term counselling, I’ll work alongside you to help you make sense of your feelings and move towards the changes you want in your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have completed an FdA in Integrative Counselling and am currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree. I am passionate about ongoing learning and professional development, and regularly take CPD training in areas such as grief and loss, trauma, OCD, phobias and anxiety to enhance my practice.
I have experience and a strong passion for working with addiction, trauma, and domestic abuse, and I have supported clients through a wide range of issues including bereavement, childhood trauma, low self-esteem, and emotional difficulties. Alongside my counselling practice, I volunteer with an organisation specialising in addiction support and with a women’s service supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
Working with people from diverse ages, backgrounds, and cultures has reinforced my belief that every client’s story is unique, and I approach every therapeutic relationship with openness, patience, and respect.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
