About me

About Me

Hello, I’m Adam, a pluralistic counsellor with experience in person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). While I draw from different approaches depending on your needs, the heart of my work is person-centred, creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, accepted, and understood.

Reaching out for support can feel difficult, especially when you are used to carrying things on your own. My aim is to offer a calm, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where you can talk openly at your own pace, without any pressure or expectation.

I believe therapy is not about being “fixed”, but about feeling supported, understood, and able to make sense of what you are going through. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that feels safe for you.

What I Offer

I support people experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, loss, and feeling overwhelmed by life. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feel stuck and unsure where to turn, you do not have to face it alone.

As a pluralistic counsellor, I understand that every person is different. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, which is why I tailor our sessions to suit you as an individual and what you need from counselling.

I also have experience supporting men with their mental health and understand how difficult it can be to talk openly about emotions, struggles, or vulnerability. Many men feel pressure to “keep going” or deal with things alone, which can often leave them feeling isolated or unheard. Creating a space where men feel comfortable enough to open up honestly, without fear of judgement, is something I care deeply about. One of the most meaningful pieces of feedback I have received is how easy and natural people have found it to talk with me, even when discussing things they may never have spoken about before.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, knowing you will be met with empathy, respect, and understanding.

Taking the First Step

Starting therapy can feel daunting, and it is completely understandable to feel nervous about reaching out. That first step is often the hardest, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change.

To help make things feel a little easier, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call where we can have an informal chat about what you are looking for, answer any questions you may have, and see whether I feel like the right counsellor for you.

You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Whatever you are carrying, we can explore it together at your pace.
