About me

Hello, I'm Abi, a bilingual Spanish and English counsellor and psychotherapist based in the Midlands, offering therapy both in person and online.

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but you don't have to face life's challenges alone. I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted exactly as you are.

My integrative approach combines humanistic, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic therapies. Working from a person-centred and anti-oppressive perspective, I recognise that your experiences, relationships, culture, and identity are unique. Together, we'll tailor therapy to meet your individual needs, helping you gain deeper self-understanding, build resilience, and reconnect with your authentic self.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure of your next step?

Whether you're struggling with difficult emotions, navigating life changes, healing from past experiences, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, therapy can provide the space to reflect, grow, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

Would you like to explore parts of your past in a safe and supportive environment?

Whatever brings you to therapy, your experiences are valid. I won't judge you, label you, or try to "fix" you. Instead, I'll work alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and compassion, supporting you to discover your own strengths and develop lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

My aim is to help you feel empowered, connected to yourself, and better equipped to face life's challenges.

Everyone is welcome in my practice, regardless of background, religion, beliefs, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over 8 years of professional experience in safeguarding, supporting domestic abuse survivors, addressing substance misuse, and facilitating self-esteem group sessions. I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Relationships and am a full member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, adhering to their ethical standards. Sessions are available in both English and Spanish.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
