About me

Feeling overwhelmed or anxious, experiencing depression, or struggling with low self-esteem? I understand how challenging it can be when life feels this way. Maybe you're caught in cycles of worry, feeling persistently down, or finding it hard to believe in yourself. Whatever you're going through, I can help you feel and get better

Hi there, I'm Shohid. In our sessions I will offer you safe and supportive space to help you find your way forward. Over the course of our sessions, you will gain insight and self-awareness, develop coping strategies, process trauma and painful experiences and improve your relationships.

I believe that a strong connection between us is key. That's why I focus on building a relationship with you based on trust and understanding. My approach is what's called "integrative," which simply means I use different types of therapy that are proven to work – like Person-Centred Therapy (where we focus on your unique experience), Gestalt Therapy (exploring the here and now), CBT (looking at thoughts and behaviours), and Transactional Analysis (understanding how we relate to others). Think of it like having a range of tools to find the best fit for you and what you're going through.

For over two decades, I've had the privilege of working with children and adults facing many different challenges. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the struggles people encounter.

As a registered member of the BACP, I work ethically and believe that you have an inner ability to heal and grow. My role is to support you on that journey in a space where you'll feel safe and free from judgment.

Our first step is a relaxed chat where you can tell me what's been on your mind. I'll explain a bit more about how I work, and we can both see if we feel like a good match to work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
