About me

As humans, we carry the remnants of a script that was written for us a long time ago - written for us, but not by us.

Many of us carry unmet needs, emotional wounds, and beliefs about ourselves, that were formed in childhood - often in response to environments that could not fully see, hear, or support our needs. These early experiences can quietly shape how er relate to ourselves and people around us, long into adulthood.

Working as an Integrative Counsellor and Therapist, I have a strong focus on inner child healing - gently helping you reconnect with the younger parts of your self that may feel lost, unheard, or stuck in old pain.

My approach combines Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic insight, and a trauma-informed practice to create a space of deep safety and self-discovery.

Therapy with me is a space to soften self-judgement, explore your emotional truth, and begin rewriting the old scripts that no longer serve you.

To gently unfold and unpick the threads left from your old script.

I work with adults experiencing issues such as:

Anxiety and panic

Depression and low mood

Trauma

Childhood or relational wounds

Grief and loss

Self-esteem and identity

Relational issues

Life transitions and stress

I offer a free 20 minute introductory phone call, where you are welcome to ask any questions you need answering at this stage - whether you are new to therapy or returning after some time.

The hardest part is often reaching out - and if you are reading this, you have already taken those first tentative steps.

I work with individuals and couples and offer face to face long term and short term sessions

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
