Francesca Rogers MBACP (Accred) & Certified Psychotherapeutic Supervisor
About me
Please note: Due to the current Covid-19 situation, I am only offering online sessions for the foreseeable future.
I am an experienced and qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I am a Certified Psychotherapeutic Supervisor and an AAMET Accredited EFT Practitioner.
I provide a safe and confidential space, and, with a warm, insightful nature I hope to help you to feel comfortable in your environment. My goal is to create a place where you feel you can build trust which will allow you to start exploring difficult and perhaps unwanted feelings in your life.
I try to create an environment where you feel accepted, unjudged and supported throughout our time together, whilst also empathising with the feelings and emotions that you bring into the room. I also try and stay true to my own feelings during our working relationship and will be congruent in my reactions with everything that you bring to each session.
Our sessions together are like a journey; a chance for you to explore unwanted and difficult emotions whilst feeling supported and safe. We will look at finding your inner strengths so that you can build on them and begin to utilise them in everyday life through self knowledge and awareness. By engaging in counselling, we can work together to develop various tools and skills to enhance your psychological well-being.
My counselling approach is Integrative which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic techniques in my work depending on what seems most suitable for you and your needs.
If you have never experienced counselling before the prospect of talking about yourself can seem somewhat daunting. I therefore suggest an initial session where we can assess and explore what has brought you to counselling and what you would like to get out of it. Most importantly, you can experience how I am as a counsellor and decide if my style is right for you.

Member organisations
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
