About me
Hello, I am an experienced and qualified psychotherapist and counsellor. I will offer you an empathic, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk about how you are feeling and about your personal struggles.
You may be seeking support due to present circumstances and/or because of past experiences where you are feeling stuck and finding it hard to move forward in life.
The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of how I work. Through this compassionate, holding relationship you will have a space where your thoughts and feelings can be explored, to feel supported and help you understand and process your experiences. This I hope will lead to healing, personal growth and self-awareness.
I can work with you on a short term basis, or working longer term may be more suitable for your needs. We can explore what may be most helpful for you during our initial discussions.
Please feel free to look at my website to get more of a sense of me and how I work.

I am accredited and registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and adhere to their professional code of ethics and standards. I am also a member of The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
Alongside my individual client and group work, I worked part-time for an Employment Assistance Programme as a telephone counsellor providing assessments for referral to short term counselling.
Prior to this I worked with a national mental health charity as a Services Coordinator, project lead and trainer. In addition to being an experienced trainer, after graduation I taught at the Minster Centre which is a leading psychotherapy training institute.
I have over 20 years experience of working in the voluntary/charity sector. Working with individuals and families, primarily in a supportive role but also in community development. I also have experience of setting up and delivering a counselling service.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
