About me
I am a BABCP and BACP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and integrative psychotherapist. I have been working for the last 12 years both in private practice and for an Employee Assistance Programme. As well as working with individuals and couples, I do a great deal of post-trauma work with groups and organisations, and also work as a mediator (qualified member of the Professional Mediators' Association).
Though trained integratively (MA and Diploma, Minster Centre), I have subsequently undergone training in CBT at the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre and in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment at Reading University. I am fully accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP). I am currently working almost exclusively with clients seeking CBT for specific issues and disorders, such as OCD, PTSD, Panic, Anxiety and Mood Disorders, addictions and impulse control disorders.
For 15 years I have worked as an executive coach (AC Accredited), for the Civil Service and other public and private sector clients, both in the UK and overseas. Since 2008, I have been a regular Associate Tutor / Coach at Oxford Said Business School on many open and custom programmes in Executive Education. Enquiries are welcome from anyone interested in career development / executive / life coaching.
I believe that the key to a successful therapeutic outcome is a genuine, warm and respectful relationship between client and therapist. I prefer to work collaboratively, tailoring my approach to the needs and objectives of each person. My greatest pleasure is accompanying clients through a challenging period in their lives, offering them appropriate support, and seeing them build strength and confidence in their ability to access and make use of their own resourcefulness.
I speak fluent Spanish and am happy to work with Spanish-speaking clients.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
