About me

Counselling provides a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can explore the areas of your life that are causing you distress.
There may be times where you feel confused or overwhelmed by your feelings and counselling can help you gain an insight and understanding of yourself and your difficulties.

My background experience includes working in Mental Health, and as a Special Constable, this has given me a deeper insight to other's distress.

I work as a Counsellor and I am a member of BACP and BPS , I work with Adults, Adolescents and Couples for both short -term and long-term therapy.

As well as my private work, I also have experience working in GP practice and I have also previously worked in secondary schools providing counselling for adolescents.

I previously worked in a managerial capacity for a large corporate Employee Assistance Programme providing short term counselling and brief psychological interventions.

In addition to private counselling, I am a Clinical Lead for a specialist complex Trauma organisation.

I am currently working towards becoming a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and I am also a member of the British Psychological Society.

I am also a Qualified Ericksonian Hypnotherapist which I also do on a private basis also.
I am based in Kilwinning which has good rain, bus and road networks.

I can offer evening appointments.

First Session is arranged as an Assessment session where together we explore a way forward.
