About me
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my profile.
I am a BACP-accredited and registered counsellor, with over 20 years of experience. I am a qualified Supervisor too. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including schools, universities, employee assistance programmes (EAPs), and private practice. I also hold an enhanced and up-to-date DBS check.
I offer counselling to young adults, adults, and older individuals, and support clients with a wide range of concerns, including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, work-related stress, depression, bereavement, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed. I have particular experience in supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism.
Whether you're dealing with everyday stress, navigating life transitions, or facing longer-term emotional challenges, I aim to create a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where we can explore your concerns at your own pace. I understand that emotional distress can affect you in many ways — physically, emotionally, and in your relationships — and that it can feel overwhelming when left unaddressed.
I work in an integrative and collaborative way, drawing from a range of therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. My approach typically blends Solution Focused techniques with Transactional Analysis, helping you develop practical strategies for change while also exploring deeper patterns or dynamics that may be influencing how you feel and relate to others. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and I work alongside you to build clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
I offer both short-term, solution-focused counselling and open-ended, longer-term therapy, depending on what feels right for you. Sessions are available in person, online, or by telephone, making it easier to access support in a way that fits your lifestyle and preferences.
I understand it's not easy taking the first step in asking for support. I hope to make it as smooth and easy as possible for you. Please get in touch if you want to find out more about how I work, and whether that works for you. Thanks, Becky

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
