I thought you'd be interested to know that before signing up for the directory a few days ago I emailed 11 other counsellors, chosen at random throughout the UK, who are also listed to see if they had found the directory productive. All 11 replied. You'll be pleased to know that 9 of the 11 were pleased with the results and all 9 had had clients from the directory. One commented it was better, in this sense than Yellow Pages and another said it was better than the BACP site. One commented the site was "efficiently run" and another had had some extra communication with you and had found you "professional and good communicators". Of the other two of the 11, one had only just joined so said they couldn't yet comment and another had joined 6 weeks ago but had had no clients as yet. So all in all a very positive response. 9 positives from 11 is 82%, and even the other two weren't negative.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with the service you offer which is great value for money. I know that every single client who has approached me, with the exception of one, has come via the Counselling Directory. The outcome of this is that without you I would not have had much of a business during the last 7 months since I joined! It is also great that you provide such a good service to potential clients out there. No one can be sure of the integrity or competence of any counsellor but you do as much as is possible to check that we are all "above board" and I think that helps to demonstrate the professionalism of most of us and our profession.
