Supervision details

Looking for a supervisor for your therapy or other supportive professional practice?

I offer clinical supervision, whether to meet your professional membership requirements, or to complement your current supervision arrangements.

I also offer supervision for trainee counsellors working towards qualification.

My approach:

My supervisory style is based on the Person-Centred modality. I offer a warm and empathic space to bring difficult clinical material; a gentle yet challenging exploration of therapeutic process and relationships; and a safe, non-judgemental approach to support you with the personal impact of your work. Above all, I believe in building a strong, transparent, and supportive supervisory relationship which promotes both professional growth and self-care.

I am trained in the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision, so-called because it explores the therapeutic or supportive relationship from multiple perspectives: enabling you to gain a holistic view of your work and any issues that you encounter. The Seven-Eyed approach involves not only exploring the process between therapist/professional and client, but also using the supervisory relationship as a tool to deepen understanding. This model is suitable for practitioners from varied professional backgrounds and training. It also provides a framework for exploring difference and diversity within clinical and supervisory relationships. As a supervisor, I welcome the exploration of difference as a challenging yet key area for potential growth.

About Me:

I have over 10 years of professional experience in clinical and supportive roles within health and social care. My background includes specialist counselling services for bereavement, domestic abuse, and adults with complex physical and mental health needs. With other previous roles in support services for homeless adults and survivors of Modern Slavery, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to support your practice.

As a therapist I currently work in private practice. Areas of professional interest for me include working with the LGBTQ+ community and neurodiverse adults.

What to expect:

I offer a free initial consultation via phone or video call of up to 30 minutes, to discuss your needs and wishes for supervision. This session is a chance for you to get a feel for my supervisory style and to decide whether we would be a good fit.

Please note, I am only able to supervise those working with adults (18+).

Fees:

For online supervision sessions: £55 for 1hr / £65 for 1.5 hrs

For in-person supervision: £60 for 1hr / £70 for 1.5 hrs

Discounted supervision fees are available for students/trainees.

Please feel free to contact me to arrange an initial consultation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
